CD137-Ligand, also known as 4-1BB-Ligand or TNFRSF9-Ligand, is the natural agonist of the CD137 receptor, and a member of the TNF superfamily. CD137-Ligand is expressed on antigen presenting cells, such as dendritic cells, B cells, and macrophages. CD137 is a type I membrane protein and a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. CD137 appears to be important for T cell proliferation and survival, and induces monocyte activation through its interaction with 4-1BB ligand.

4-1BBL (4-1BB ligand, CD137L) is found on APCs (antigen presenting cells) and binds to 4-1BB (also known as CD137), a type 2 transmembrane glycoprotein receptor belonging to the TNF superfamily, which is expressed on activated T Lymphocytes. CD137 (4-1BB, Tnsfr9) is a member of the TNF-receptor (TNFR) superfamily without known intrinsic enzymatic activity in its cytoplasmic domain. Hence, akin to other members of the TNFR family, it relies on the TNFR-Associated-Factor (TRAF) family of adaptor proteins to build the CD137 signalosome for transducing signals into the cell. The CD137 receptor plays a key role in mediating immune response by promoting T cell proliferation, survival, and memory. Effective agonism of CD137 has the potential to reinvigorate potent antitumor immunity either alone or in combination with other immune-checkpoint therapies. In this study, we describe the discovery and characterization of a unique CD137 agonist, 7A5, a fully human IgG1 Fc CD137 (also known as 4-1BB) is a surface co-stimulatory glycoprotein originally described as present on activated T lymphocytes, which belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily. It is expressed mainly on activated CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, and binds to a high-affinity ligand (4-1BBL) expressed on several antigen-presenting 4-1BB (CD137) is another costimulatory receptor expressed on activated T cells (CD4+, CD8+, and NKT), activated NK cells, DCs, eosinophils, and mast cells.

This antibody reacts with Mouse samples. Supplied as 500 µg purified antibody (1 mg/mL). CD137 ligand (CD137L) is a type II membrane protein and part of the TNF superfamily. CD137L is a co-stimulatory molecule that is expressed on antigen presenting cells (DCs, monocytes/macrophages, B cells) and is upregulated upon activation.

CD137 Pathway: Immunology and Diseases - Medicinsk forskning

CD137-mediated signaling is also known to protect T cells, and in particular, CD8+ T cells from activation-induced cell death. The 17B5 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse 4-1BB, a TNF receptor superfamily member also known as CD137. 4-1BB is a 39 kDa transmembrane protein expressed by T lymphocytes, NK cells, dendritic cells, granulocytes, and mast cells. Upon binding its ligand 4-1BBL, 4-1BB provides costimulatory signals to both CD4 and CD8 T cells through the activation of NF-κB, c-Jun and p38 … CD137 (4-1BB, Tnsfr9) is a member of the TNF-receptor (TNFR) superfamily without known intrinsic enzymatic activity in its cytoplasmic domain.
